Libe (Elody Sanchis) develops meticulous work combining performance, installation, photography, video, sound, sculpture, drawing and writing. As a visual and digital artist, her multidisciplinary approach favors particular research, such as the alliance of sociology and philosophy with conceptual art.
She has participated in numerous exhibitions in France and internationally, including making video art for the Place des Arts in Montreal, Quebec, Canada (Waves, 2018), and a co-creation documentary about Lucio Fanti exhibited at FRAC PACA (AVÉ FANTI !, Marseille, France, 2018).
In 2020, she won a scholarship from the Arts Council of England and she exhibited at the KCAW festival (London, England, 2020). In 2021, she remotely resided at the School of Visual Arts in New York. She exhibited her work online with SVAxTiger Strikes asteroid then and at the Aerogramme Center for Arts and Culture (New York, US, 2021) during the covid period. In 2022, she showed her work in Chelsea at Satchel projects, New York, USA, with TELEPORTAL and CICA Museum, Gimpo-si, South Korea.
Libe was born in 1988 in Toulouse, France, and lives and works between France and Canada.
